Kyrgyz representative, student of the capital's secondary school A. Isabekova took part in the Youth Forum (12-14 March), which is traditionally held on the margins of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) at the UNODC headquarters in Vienna.

The Youth Forum annually gathers young people from all over the world, nominated by the member states of the CND and actively working in the field of drug use prevention, health promotion and youth empowerment. The event provides an opportunity for participants to share ideas, vision and different perspectives on how to better protect the health and well-being of their peers and how to communicate their common message to leading global policymakers.

The 2024 Youth Forum brought together 35 young people from 27 countries. Over the course of three days, youth leaders had the opportunity to actively participate in thematic discussions, learn from each other's perspectives and best practices from their communities. They also expanded their knowledge by attending various sessions on evidence-based prevention, participated in interactive group activities and had the opportunity to attend side events of the high-level segment of the 67th session.

A brief consensus statement was prepared at the end of the Mozambique Forum, which was then delivered at the High-Level Segment of the CND.
