Ambassador Tolendy Makeev presented his credentials to the President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová

On 15 April, 2024 at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Slovak Republic with the residence in Vienna Tolendy Makeyev presented his Credentials to the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová.

During the conversation the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan conveyed greetings and good wishes to the Head of state on behalf of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov and expressed his readiness to make every effort to further expand and strengthen Kyrgyz-Slovak relations.

The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan noted that 2025 will mark the 100th anniversary of the arrival of the first echelon of Czechoslovaks as part of the «Interhelpo» industrial cooperative in Kyrgyzstan, who assisted in the industrial development of our country. In this regard, the Ambassador proposed organizing mutual visits at the highest level and holding other joint events to celebrate this significant date.

The great interest of the Kyrgyz side in developing bilateral economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and in the field of higher education with Slovakia was also emphasized. In addition, the issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Slovakia within the framework of multilateral diplomacy through the United Nations, the European Union and other international organizations were discussed.

The President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová noted the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries and wished the Ambassador Tolendy Makeyev a successful diplomatic mission for the benefit of the two nations.
