On November 18, 2020, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary
Bakyt Dzhusupov met with Andras Baranyi, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary. The Hungarian side was provided with
detailed and up-to-date information about the current situation in Kyrgyzstan, past
political events. In this regard, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan emphasized the
readiness and intention of the country to strengthen and develop comprehensive
cooperation with Hungary in the spirit of the established strategic partnership. At the
same time, Andras Baranyi stated that Budapest is glad that everything in
Kyrgyzstan has returned to the Constitutional framework, and are ready for joint
further work.
Both sides discussed joint steps to implement the agreements reached during
the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary (September 28-
29), aimed, first of all, at enhancing economic, financial and investment
cooperation. Measures for the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation
were discussed separately. In conclusion, the sides agreed to work out a number of
political and economical activities, including high-level visits.
On the same day, Bakyt Dzhusupov had a meeting with Janos Hovari,
Ambassador, Head of the European representative office of the CCTS in Budapest,
where plans for joint work for 2021 were discussed, taking into account the
postponement of some planned events for this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
