On April 30, 2024, Charge d'Affaires of the Kyrgyz Republic to the State of Kuwait, O. Gaparov held a meeting with the Deputy Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Junior Ambassador Omar Al-Atumi, during which the parties discussed current issues in the consular direction. In particular discussed the entry into force of the Agreement on exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports of the two countries, signed in December 2023, and also held negotiations on the future simplification of the visa regime for holders of general civil passports.

In turn, O. Gaparov noted that a new format of biometric passports had been adopted in the Kyrgyz Republic, and provided the Jordanian side with a CD containing samples of pastors and information about its corresponding features.

In addition, the parties highlighted cooperation in the field of tourism, education, direct flights and trade as a priority area, and also reached an agreement on the creation of a legal framework in these areas.
