On March 6, 2023, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hungary Talantbek Kushchubekov met with the Deputy State Secretary for Trainings, Scholarship Programmes and Science Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Miklós Lengyel.

During the meeting the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary in the field of education and science, including the annual participation of Kyrgyz students in the "Stipendium Hungaricum" program.

Ambassador T. Kushchubekov briefly discussed current points of the bilateral agenda in the field of education, as well as prospects and plans to strengthen this interaction between the countries.

In addition, the parties with satisfaction summed up the results of the First Kyrgyz-Hungarian Rectors Conference, which was held on February 13-14 in Budapest during an official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic S.N. Zhaparov to Hungary, and exchanged views on the timing of the Second Kyrgyz-Hungarian Rectors Conference in Bishkek.

The parties agreed to continue joint work aimed at deepening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary in the field of education and noted the importance of maintaining a high dynamics of contacts at all levels of bilateral cooperation.
