On May 15, 2019, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan Zh.Kulubaev took part in a round table and at the opening of the exhibition “Meeting of mountains and steppes”, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the People’s Writer of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, Ch. Aytmatov, organized by the Public Association “Kyrgyzstan- Astana ”with the support of the akimat of the Nur-Sultan city and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

        Speakers at the event, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Zh.K.Tuimebaev, deputy akim of the Nur-Sultan city E.E.Kanalimov, professor of the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University M.Zholdasbekov, writer R.T.Aitmatova and others shared their memories of meetings with Ch. Aitmatov and reflections on the role of the writer's creative heritage in shaping modern Kyrgyz, Kazakh and world culture.

In the unanimous opinion of the participants of the round table, Ch. Aytmatov is the common literary wealth and pride of the completely Turkic world. In turn, Ambassador Zh. Kulubaev made a speech about the need to familiarize the younger generation with the literature of Ch.Aytmatov, as well as further strengthen cultural ties between the fraternal peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

        On the same day, May 15 of this year, the Embassy participated in the opening of the museum of Ch. Aytmatov, which is took place at the gymnasium school №. 79.

        Pupils of the school organized a photo exhibition at the museum, where a book exhibition of the writer also have had presented. On behalf of the Embassy, the works of Ch. Aitmatov have had donated to the museum.
