Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea Aida Ismailova met with representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora and activists in the Republic of Korea.

Ambassador A.Ismailova shared her plans and ideas regarding activities to further enhance political, trade and economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea, attract investment in various sectors of the Kyrgyz economy and expand cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the countries. The Ambassador noted the need to continue close cooperation between the Embassy and the Kyrgyz Diaspora in the Republic of Korea.

An exchange of views took place on the joint holding of various events to spread investment attractiveness, promote tourism opportunities in Kyrgyzstan, and participate in exhibitions and fairs in the Republic of Korea. The Ambassador also called for active participation in the organization of cultural events in honor of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea.

Ambassador A.Ismailova expressed gratitude to representatives of the Diaspora and activists for cooperation with the Embassy, as well as participation in the work to provide assistance to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who are in the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, in a friendly atmosphere, compatriots actively participated in the discussion, various issues were discussed, including consular issues. The compatriots asked their questions, voiced proposals for the further work of the Embassy, wished to continue close cooperation between the Diaspora and the Embassy, and also expressed joy that the appointed Ambassador takes the initiative and shares her experience and ideas with pleasure.

Earlier, the Ambassador met with citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic living and engaged in business in Incheon city.

During the meeting, the issues of stay of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea, labor migration, participation of the Kyrgyz diaspora together with the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in events aimed at promoting the export and tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as plans and achievements in economic diplomacy were discussed.

Ambassador A.Ismailova noted a certain contribution of businessmen to the development of trade between the two countries and outlined the main directions of further interaction between the Embassy and the Diaspora.
