During the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev to the Republic of Korea, on October 24, 2022, a bilateral meeting was held in Seoul with the Chief Executive Officer of Korea Telecom Corporation (KT) Dr. Hyeonmo Ku.

At the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the enhanced cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the KT Corporation, in particular, they noted the opening of a representative office of the company in Bishkek in early 2022 and discussed the current state of interaction between the relevant government authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic with the Korean company.

Minister Zh. Kulubaev noted the importance of implementing a project to create an IT center in Kyrgyzstan, aimed at increasing the potential of human resources in the field of digitalization through the Ministry of Digital Development.

Chief Executive Officer Dr. Hyeonmo Ku, in its turn, noted the interest in the successful cooperation of the company with the Kyrgyz side and informed about the planned visit of the KT corporation delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic in November of this year, during which it is planned to discuss joint projects in the field of digitalization, including the project to create a «Trade Services Provider».
