On December 20, 2022, employees of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea met at the Incheon International Airport residents of the Talas region who arrived in Korea for seasonal agricultural work for a period of 5 months. From the Korean side, representatives of the administration of the Geochang district took part in the meeting of citizens.

It should be noted that the employment of citizens became possible as a result of the work and assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea. Earlier, on June 18, 2022, an Agreement on cooperation on employment of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic for seasonal work in agriculture was signed in Seoul between the Center for employment of citizens abroad under the Ministry of labor, social security and migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Talas region and Geochang district of the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, the citizens were informed about the rules of stay on the territory of the Republic of Korea and the need to comply with the visa regime in accordance with the requirements of the country's legislation.
