On January 6, 2023, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan A. Ismailova met with the mayor of Gunpo, Mr. Ha Eun-Ho.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of establishing twinning relations, promoting labor potential and employment of citizens of Kyrgyzstan at plants and factories in the city of Gunpo, as well as the possibility of considering the implementation of projects in the Kyrgyz Republic proposed by the Kyrgyz side.

Ambassador A. Ismailova proposed cooperation with the cities and regions of Kyrgyzstan in various areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, in particular in the field of tourism, agriculture, light industry, education, medicine, energy and other fields of activity. Also, a number of investment projects and PPP projects in Kyrgyzstan were proposed to the mayor of Gunpo city, Mr. Ha Eun-Ho.

In turn, the mayor of Gunpo, Mr. Ha Eun-Ho, expressed his readiness to assist in the wide recruitment of citizens of Kyrgyzstan. He said that he was considering the possibility of opening an educational institution on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, the purpose of which is to teach citizens the Korean language, as well as to train professionals for further employment in the Republic of Korea on an E-7 visa category. In addition, he expressed his intention to establish twinning relations with the city of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue interaction and cooperation, as well as maintain constant contacts to achieve their goals.
