As part of the ongoing work of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea to intensify cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Aida Ismailova on November 8, 2023 took part in the ceremony of awarding the title of Honorary Doctor of Keimyung University to Vyacheslav Khan, a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, President of the Public Association of Koreans of Kyrgyzstan.

During the ceremony, the President of the University Synn Ilhi noted Vyacheslav Khan's contribution to the unification of ethnic Koreans in Kyrgyzstan and the preservation of their identity, as well as the development of cultural exchange between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea.

For reference: About 17 thousand ethnic Koreans live in the Kyrgyz Republic, the diaspora of which is one of the large. There are many well-known scientists, public figures and large entrepreneurs among them.

In this regard, the Graduate Committee of Keimyung University, assessing the achievements and contribution of the President of the Public Association of Koreans of Kyrgyzstan, in accordance with the charter of the University, recommended awarding Vyacheslav Khan the degree of honorary Doctor of Law.
