As part of a series of events on the occasion of the birthday of the prominent writer, thinker and diplomat Chyngyz Aitmatov, on December 19, 2022, a commemorative event was held in the Chyngyz Aitmatov Park in Kecioren municipality of Ankara, organized by the Embassy together with the Kecioren municipality.

The event was attended by the Mayor of Kecioren Municipality, Ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps, heads of local governments of Ankara province, students, media representatives, as well as compatriots living in Turkey.

A flower-laying ceremony was held at the monument to Chyngyz Aitmatov, and national Kyrgyz compositions were played on the komuz.
