In order to develop regions, attract investment and promote tourism in Kyrgyzstan on July 3-5, 2021, there was held the visit of the delegation of businessmen of the Turkish province of Hatay, headed by the Lutfu Savas, Mayor of Hatay, and the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Iskenderun to Kyrgyzstan, organized by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ankara.

The delegation met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov, Minister of Investment of the Kyrgyz Republic Almanbet Shykmamatov, and Mayors of Bishkek, Jalal-Abad, Kara-Suu, and Kara-Balta.

During the visit of the Turkish delegation, there was provided information on investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan, the parties considered the possibility of opening joint ventures in the field of energy, agriculture, industry, and textiles.

The Protocols on the establishment of twin-city relations between Hatay city and Jalal-Abad, Kara-Balta, and Kara-Suu cities were signed. The parties discussed the participation of the above-mentioned cities of Kyrgyzstan in EXPO 2021 in December 2021 in Hatay and established ties for further cooperation in various fields.

Also, within the framework of the visit, there were B2B meetings of Kyrgyz and Turkish entrepreneurs, in which the business community of the two countries had the opportunity to make direct contacts.
