On June 5, 2024, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkiye Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the leadership of the Municipality of Konya.

During the meeting with Mustafа Uzbash, Head of the City Council, the parties emphasized the importance of further strengthening friendly ties between Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye at the regional level.

At the meeting, the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, and tourism spheres were discussed separately.

Taking into account the existing agreement on sister city relations between the cities of Bishkek and Konya, the Ambassador called for intensifying interaction by organizing mutual visits.
