On June 10, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Türkiye Ruslan Kazakbaev met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Yasin Ekrem Serim.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye were discussed, including plans to organize mutual visits at the highest and high level in 2024.

The parties also discussed issues of mutual travel and conditions of stay of citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye on the territory of the two states and reached an agreement on holding consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the parties.

The Kyrgyz side noted the importance of the earliest possible resumption of the implementation of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Health and Medical Sciences, which provides for annual free treatment of 150 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in medical institutions in Türkiye and expressed a request to expand the provided quota to 500 people per year.

The issues of developing and deepening bilateral trade and economic relations and increasing mutual trade turnover between the countries, as well as issues of interaction between the parties within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States and other multilateral platforms were discussed.
