In honour of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary, as well as within the framework of the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Hungary, on August 10, 2022, a solemn reception was held in Budapest, organized by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary.

In honour of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary, as well as within the framework of the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Hungary, on August 10, 2022, a solemn reception was held in Budapest, organized by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary.

         The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, as well as other government agencies, Ambassadors of foreign countries, representatives of international organizations, public and political figures, business circles and friends of Kyrgyzstan and members of the Kyrgyz diaspora in Budapest.

         The guest of honour from the Kyrgyz side was H.E. Mr. A. Zhamankulov, the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, who arrived in Budapest to participate in the grand opening of the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Hungary.

         In a welcoming speech, H.E. Ambassador T. Kushchubekov informed the guests about the state and prospects of bilateral relations with Hungary. The Ambassador emphasized that Hungary was the first country to become a strategic partner of the Kyrgyz Republic in Europe, and that bilateral projects in the trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres are currently successfully moving forward.

         Hereafter, H.E. Mr. Á. Stifter, the Deputy Secretary of State for the Development of Eastern Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, spoke on behalf of the Hungarian side. Á. Stifter positively assessed the cooperation developing between the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary in the field of culture and drew special attention to the importance of holding the first ever Days of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hungary.

         As part of the evening, a festive concert was held with the participation of National Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic and the ethno-folklore ensemble “Kambarkan”. In addition, an exhibition of works by Kyrgyz artists and masters of arts and crafts was presented.

The invited guests had the opportunity to receive tourist booklets, brochures on the investment potential of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as taste dishes of the national Kyrgyz cuisine.
