On March 23, 2023 the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary Talantbek Kushchubekov met with the Vice Rector for International Relations of Szeged University of Hungary Péter Zakar.

During the meeting the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of education, as well as prospects and plans to strengthen it, in particular at the Faculty of Altaic Studies. In addition, special attention was paid to the Kyrgyz students studying with the scholarship program "Stipendium Hungaricum" at the University of Szeged. At the meeting with the students Ambassador T. Kushchubekov informed them about the current activities of the Embassy in the protection of rights and interests of Kyrgyz citizens, and briefly talked about the important aspects of educational cooperation between the countries.

Besides, within the framework of the visit, the Ambassador T. Kushchubekov was shown an exhibition of pictures and drawings of professor Prinz Gyula, made by him during his expeditions to Kyrgyzstan in 1906-1909.

For reference: Prinz Gyula studied and mapped the ranges of the Tien Shan Mountains, the geomorphology of high mountains, and made a survey map of glaciers, conducted ethnographic research and described the nature of the Kyrgyz Republic in detail in his travel notes.
