Ambassador Talantbek Kushchubekov met with the new State Secretary for Bilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Boglárka Illés

On 18 June 2024 in Budapest, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary Talantbek Kushchubekov met with the new State Secretary for Bilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Boglárka Illés. During the meeting parties discussed the status and prospects of development of strategic partnership, as well as the upcoming meetings of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Strategic Council and the Joint Economic Commission.

The parties also exchanged views on current issues of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary, including the activity of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund and the "Stipendium Hungaricum" scholarship programme.  

Special attention was paid to the results of the past elections to the European Parliament and local authorities, as well as the upcoming six-month Hungarian Presidency in the Council of the European Union.  

In turn, State Secretary B. Illés expressed her readiness to work together with the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Hungary to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the countries.
