Two-day celebrations were held in the Kingdom of Belgium on the occasion of the of the international spring holiday "Nooruz".

On March 23, 2019 the Embassy Kyrgyzstan in Belgium held a mini-football tournament with the participation of Kyrgyz citizens living in the Benelux countries and France.

Ruslan Bekbolotov, Chargé d'affaires ai of Kyrgyzstan in the Benelux countries and France, spoke at the event with congratulations. In his speech, Charge d’Affaires R.Bekbolotov noted that such tournaments provide a good opportunity for compatriots to get to know each other better, strengthen friendly relations and maintain communication between Kyrgyz citizens living abroad.

The event was held with the financial assistance of the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of Belgium P.Maceles.

On March 24, 2019, the Kyrgyz Embassy in Belgium took part in the joint celebration of the Nooruz spring festival in Brussels, with the participation of the diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, as well as European institutions, UNESCO and TURKSOY. The event was organized by the Bozar Center for Fine Arts.

During the event, the visitors were able to see the culture and life of the Turkic peoples, national products and cuisines of the participating countries, as well as performances by national artists.

The stand of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan aroused particular interest among visitors. The Embassy staff, as well as participating partners: the travel companies “Kyrgyz Muras”, “Nomadstan” and the association “Salam Kyrgyz”, presented to the guests of the event products and souvenirs of the national applied art of the Kyrgyz people, national dishes, and also brochures about the tourist and investment attractiveness of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Roza Amanova, the people’s artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, was invited to participate in the festive concert as part of the celebrations, and her performance was also a great success among the participants.

Following the event, the heads of diplomatic missions and the leadership of the Center "Bozar" agreed on the annual holding of similar events.
