On May 28, 2024, Ambassador Bakyt Amanbayev met with President of Montana State University W.Cruzado and Rector of Montana Technical University L.Cook. The issue of improving cooperation in the field of education between the two countries was discussed at the meeting.

Ambassador Bakyt Amanbaev provided information on the priority sectors of the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic and offered the leadership of these universities cooperation in training specialists in the fields of agriculture, mining, information technology and road construction necessary for the development of the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic. Bakyt Amanbaev also informed the American side in detail about the "El Umutu" program, organized by President Sadyr Zhaparov to support talented Kyrgyz youth at leading universities in the world, and offered to support this program.

During the meeting, Bakyt Amanbaev proposed to implement joint research projects on mutually beneficial terms and organize exchange programs for students and teachers between universities.

W.Kruzado and L.Cook, providing detailed information about the universities they lead, expressed interest in close cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the field of education in the future. In order to improve bilateral cooperation, the parties reached an agreement on signing a memorandum of cooperation in the future.
