The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic reminds citizens of Kyrgyzstan staying in the United States and Canada of the need to register for the consular registration of the Embassy. The main purpose of consular registration is to create a list of citizens of Kyrgyzstan in the United States and Canada to comply with their constitutional rights (participation in elections), protect rights and interests in the host country, as well as the possibility of obtaining consular services at the Embassy.

It should be noted that on the basis of consular registration and biometric data, voter lists will be compiled for voting in the elections of President of the Kyrgyz Republic or members of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. There is an opportunity to apply for registration online – for the convenience of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Without submitting biometric data, a citizen cannot take part in the vote.

In this regard, we would like to inform you about the following:

1. If a citizen has previously submitted biometric data (fingerprints), regardless of whether in Kyrgyzstan or at the Embassy, ​​it will be sufficient to send a completed Form to kgconsulate.washington@mfa.gov.kg (https://mfa.gov.kg/uploads/content/813/624c5a10-c3ab-3d1c-9b13-17b0f573e650.pdf) for consular registration and a copy of the passport of the Kyrgyz Republic with a valid period.

2. If a citizen has not previously submitted biometric data, then it is necessary to make an appointment with the Consul and at the appointed time to visit the Embassy to submit biometric data (fingerprints), a completed form (https://mfa.gov.kg/uploads/content/813/624c5a10-c3ab-3d1c-9b13-17b0f573e650.pdf) for consular registration and a copy of a valid Kyrgyz passport.
