On March 13, 2024 in Vienna the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Austria participated in the official event dedicated to the celebration of Nooruz.

It was organized jointly with the diplomatic magazine «Society» and the embassies of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in Austria. Representatives of international organizations, the diplomatic corps of Vienna, official government agencies, prominent politicians and officials of the host country took part in the celebration of Nooruz.

As part of the solemn event, a concert program was held with national dances and songs of the states where Nooruz is celebrated. The Central Asian region was represented by the folk ensemble «Akzharma» and the dance group «Zhorga» from Kazakhstan.

As part of the celebration of Nooruz, the Embassy presented to the guests an exhibition stand of folk arts and crafts, including a wide variety of felt products, illustrated publications about Kyrgyzstan, booklets and catalogs on tourism.

At the end of the official part, the participants of the celebration were invited to the festive tables of each country, where they had the opportunity to taste the unique dishes of the Kyrgyz national cuisine: boorsok, chak-chak, sumolok, chuchuk, kurut and dried fruits, which were especially popular among the guests.
