On October 25 - 26, 2021, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of Denmark with residence in Berlin Mr. Erlan Abdyldaev held meetings with the Member of the Danish Parliament Mr. Peter Juel-Jensen, State Secretary for Development Policy Ms. Lotte Machon, and Director of the Department for European Neighbourhood of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Mr. Lars Bo Moeller within the framework of participation in the ceremony of presenting credentials to Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.

During the above-mentioned meetings, the issues of strengthening and developing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kingdom of Denmark, including inter-parliamentary cooperation, increasing the volume of mutual trade between countries, and attracting investments in various spheres of the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as interaction within the framework of the struggle with the further spread of coronavirus infection were discussed. An exchange of views took place on the resumption of cooperation with the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), cooperation in the field of digitalization, combating climate change, and environmental protection.

In addition, the parties discussed the upcoming First Economic forum European Union - Central Asia, which will be held in Bishkek on November 5, 2021. Ambassador Mr. Erlan Abdyldaev noted that the Kyrgyz side expects a delegation from the Kingdom of Denmark to participate in the above-mentioned forum.

The parties were unanimous in their opinion on the need for all-round intensification of contacts for the benefit of the development of Kyrgyz-Danish relations.
