On February 29, 2024, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany Omurbek Tekebaev and the Head of the PI7 department “German minorities in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the CIS and the Baltic” of the Federal Ministry of the Interior of Germany, Dr. Franca Fülle.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Germany on issues of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic of German nationality were discussed.

Ambassador O. Tekebaev noted that Kyrgyzstan is pursuing a consistent policy to preserve and strengthen the multinational people of the country and emphasized the significance of the role of ethnic Germans in Kyrgyzstan in strengthening Kyrgyz-German cooperation.

Dr. Franca Fülle noted with satisfaction the successful cooperation within the framework of the relevant Kyrgyz-German intergovernmental commission and reported that the German Government will continue to work to support ethnic Germans in Kyrgyzstan.
