On November 20, 2019 an interactive conference on the tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic was held by the Embassy with the assistance of the CD Foundation in the Eros Hotel in New Delhi.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to India Mr.Asein Isaev, by delegation from Kyrgyzstan - representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Avia Traffic Airlines, “Maryotel” Hotel, “Banar Plus” Construction Company, “Aska Travel” travel Company.

The conference was attended by over 50 representatives of Indian travel agencies, travel magazines, media, and cinema, such as «Travel Agents Federation of India», «Concord Travels & Tours», «Carnation Holidays», «DDP Publications Private Limited», «Holiday Merchants», «Bariza Events & Holidays», «Wanderlust Travels» and others.

A feature of the conference was the speeches of famous Indian citizens who have visited the Kyrgyz Republic.

In his welcoming speech Ambassador Asein Isaev noted the geographical and historical proximity of the two countries, and the great potential for developing cooperation in the tourism sector. Representatives of the air company informed the participants of the event about the packages of popular tourist destinations in our country. Representatives of the Embassy spoke in detail about the visa regime of the Kyrgyz Republic and the procedure for obtaining a visa to Kyrgyzstan.

 Following the event, Ambassador Asein Isaev answered questions of Indian media about the current development of bilateral Kyrgyz-Indian cooperation, in particular about expanding cooperation in the tourism sector.

Representatives of Indian travel agencies showed an active interest in visiting our country and planned a Fam Trip to Kyrgyzstan at the end of December this year.
