Press release of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Tehran of 29th January, 2021
On January 27, 2021, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tehran an International conference with the participation of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Islamic Republic of Iran was held to review the progress and development of cooperation between Iran and the EAEU member-states since the entry into force of the “Interim Iran – EAEU Trade Agreement”.
The Chairman of the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, member of the Presidium of the EAEU Business Council Danil IBRAEV and the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Iran Avazbek ABDURAZAKOV took part in the Economic Forum on behalf of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Conference was hosted by the Chairman of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce and Industry Masoud KHANSARI and attended by the Iranian Energy Minister Reza ARDAKANIYAN, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Seyed Rasul MOHAJER, Iranian Customs Chairman Mehdi MIRASHRAFI, Ambassadors of Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia in the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as representatives of relevant ministries and governmental agencies of the hosting country.
In its statements, the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic has informed the participants of the Economic Forum about present state of development of trade and economic exchanges between Kyrgyzstan and Iran as well as with the other EAEU member-states, and also made a proposal to establish a “Unified Register of EAEU and Iranian Companies engaged in import-export as well as barter activities" to be approved by the EAEU Business Council and Tehran Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This proposal of the Kyrgyz delegation was welcomed by the hosts and participants of the Conference and included in its final documents.
