On May 26, 2022 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Iran Turdakun Sydykov met with the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari.
The parties discussed the dynamics of bilateral cooperation, including the organization of visits at the high and highest levels, noted the need to effectively use the existing potential and existing mechanisms to increase trade turnover and create joint ventures in areas of mutual interest.
In order to promote Kyrgyz exports to the Iranian market, Ambassador Sydykov proposed to increase the supply of agricultural products, including meat, beans and cotton fiber from Kyrgyzstan to Iran.
The parties also agreed to assist in holding the 13th meeting of the joint Kyrgyz-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission in Bishkek in 2022.
