On May 29, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zheenbek Kulubaev, held a meeting with the Secretary of the Holy See (Vatican) for Relations with States, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher.

During the meeting, Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev informed Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher about the current political and economic situation in Kyrgyzstan, noting that the country is taking active steps to improve the economic environment, attracting foreign investment and supporting entrepreneurship.

At the meeting, important issues were raised about the further development of relations between Kyrgyzstan and the Holy See, including the organization of meetings and visits at the highest level. Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev focused on the significance of these events for strengthening diplomatic ties and expanding cooperation between the two countries.

The parties confirmed their desire to develop and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Holy See.
