South Korean companies and businessmen provide humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan

On July 22, 2020 in the building of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Seoul, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic Dinara Kemelova met with the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in the South Korea Mr. Kim Jeong Gu, the President of the "Son & Moon" company Mr. Lee and the South Korean businessman Mr. Kang Seung Mo. 
During the meeting, the parties discussed the situation with the coronavirus pandemic in Kyrgyzstan and South Korea. Also the donating of humanitarian assistance to Kyrgyzstan took place. «Son & Moon» President Mr. Lee donated 3 million Korean won, and South Korean businessman donated 20 virus sterilizer devices.
Also on July 24 Ambassador D. Kemelova met with a group of businessmen and media representatives of South Korea led by the Chairman of the Korea Self-Regulatory Fair Trade Federation Mr. Hеe Choon Jeong, during which issues of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation in the post-coronavirus period were discussed.
As a result of the meeting, humanitarian aid will be sent in the form of 30,000 protective masks on the next flight to Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting with the President of the T’Way Airlines Mr. Jeong Hong-Geon, held on June 24, company has agreed to deliver humanitarian goods to Kyrgyzstan.
On July 25, by charter flight humanitarian assistance was delivered to Bishkek in the form of two ARDC-1502 equipment with positive and negative air pressure, 20 devices for antibacterial disinfection of premises and 22,500 protective masks for the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as 250 PPE kits and 1,000 express tests for Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.
The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic plans to send an additional 8,000 protective masks in the nearest future.
Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic Dinara Kemelova expressed gratitude to South Korean organizations for their desire to help Kyrgyzstan in difficult times in the fight against coronavirus.
