On May 16, 2022, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov met with the Director General of the Department of Asian Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Faisal Alamodi.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation, as well as the prospects for their further development. Special attention was paid to the issues of organizing mutual visits at the high and highest levels, expanding the legal framework between the two countries, strengthening cooperation within international organizations, and an exchange of views took place on the most pressing issues of the regional and international agenda.

As part of the joint coordination of bilateral events previously planned by the parties, Ambassador U.Maripov and F.Alamodi discussed the details of organizing inter-ministerial political consultations political consultations, the next meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation, the Kyrgyz-Saudi business forum in Kyrgyzstan, the opening of direct flights, as well as other events dedicated to the 30^th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Following the meeting, the parties also agreed to continue close coordinated work to promote draft agreements and memorandums in various areas under consideration by the parties.
