From 1-2 October, 2019, consular stuff of the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul visited correctional facilities for women in the cities of Ayvalik and Balikesir. In these facilities, two Kyrgyz citizens are held under investigation and serving their sentences.

Consuls learned the conditions of detention, where citizens were given consular advice on various issues. Consuls did not receive any complaints from the citizens about the conditions of detention and violation of their rights. At the expense of personal funds of consular stuff, they were provided with financial aid.

Also, the consuls visited Children's Social Institutions in the city of Balikesir, where they met two children of the accused citizen.

Diplomats learned the conditions of stay and residence of children and held meetings with the management of the Social Security Administration of Balikesir.
