On February 5, 2021, the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Alymkadyr Beishenaliev met with the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey Halil Eldemir and Deputy Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) Celal Adan within the framework of the working visit to Turkey.

Minister Beishenaliev expressed gratitude to the Turkish side for the previously provided assistance in the fight against coronavirus infection and, taking into account the difficult situation in the Kyrgyz Republic in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, expressed a kind request for humanitarian assistance.

Having discussed a number of issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of healthcare, Minister Beishenaliev noted the necessity of the soonest ratification by the Turkish parliament of the Agreement on the Bishkek hospital of the Kyrgyz-Turkish friendship with the aim of its full functioning. Deputy Chairman of GNAT Celal Adan assured of his support for the early ratification of this Agreement.

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey has supplied 5,000 PCR-tests to the Kyrgyz side.
