On April 13, 2021, Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Kairat Imanaliev met with Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoglu.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of topical issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular the holding of the IV World Nomad Games, which were scheduled to be held in 2020 in Iznik but postponed to 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Minister Mr. Imanaliev noted the need to hold a kok-borү in IV WNG, according to the approved rules of the Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, and also expressed a willingness of the Kyrgyz side to share the experience of organizing and conducting WNG, previously held three times in Kyrgyzstan.

In order to implement the Agreement on cooperation in the field of physical culture, signed on April 9, 2018 between Ministries of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Turkey, as well as to expand cooperation in the field of youth policy, Minister Mr. Imanaliev proposed to consider the possibility signing the Action Plan and relevant Agreement. In turn, Minister Mr. Kasapoglu expressed his readiness to consider the proposed initiatives soon.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further expanding cooperation across the entire spectrum of Kyrgyz-Turkish relations in the field of sports and youth policy.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Mr. Imanaliev invited his Turkish colleague Mr. Kasapoglu to visit Kyrgyzstan, as well as take part in the Third Forum of Young Leaders of the Turkic Council in September 2021 in Osh.
