On March 24, 2022, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey Suleyman Soylu.

The parties discussed the development and further prospects for cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.

Ambassador Omuraliev requested to consider the proposals  on the mutual reduction of tariffs for issuing a residence permit in the territories of the Parties and the possibility of crossing the borders of the Parties on the basis of an internal passport of a citizen - an identity card to simplify mutual travel.

During the meeting, the Parties reached an agreement on providing information (accidents, detentions, deportation, etc.) timely regarding citizens of Kyrgyzstan, tightening control over groups involved in the employment of citizens of  Kyrgyzstan in Turkey in order to comply with Turkish labor legislation, assistance from the Turkish side in issuing a residence permit for citizens of Kyrgyzstan,  illegally staying in Turkey for various reasons.
