Deputy of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye, Head of the inter-parliamentary friendship group “Kyrgyzstan-Türkiye” Yusuf Beyazit visited the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Türkiye, where a meeting took place with the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Türkiye R.A. Kazakbaev.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues of bilateral political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the countries, plans for further expansion and deepening of inter-parliamentary relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Türkiye, as well as interaction between countries at multilateral platforms were discussed.

Ambassador R. Kazakbaev spoke in detail about the past Days of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Türkiye, shared plans for further enhancing bilateral cooperation between the countries next year, as well as for organizing mutual visits at the highest and high levels and holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic cooperation.

The parties discussed the importance of the early establishment of a bilateral Kyrgyz-Turkish Development Fund to further strengthen cooperation between the countries in the trade and economic sphere.

The Kyrgyz side expressed a request for the assistance of the Turkish Parliament in the positive consideration of a number of proposals aimed at simplifying the conditions for the stay of citizens of Kyrgyzstan on the territory of the Turkish Republic, as well as the early resumption of the implementation of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Health and Medical Sciences, which provides for annual free treatment of 150 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in medical institutions in Turkey and expanding the provided quota to 500 people per year.

As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on the further deepening and development of bilateral and multilateral interparliamentary relations, including by organizing mutual visits of parliamentary delegations.
