On 11 December 2023 Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev met with Vice-Rector of Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University Professor Kursat Göktürk.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the study and living conditions of Kyrgyz students studying at this educational institution. According to the Council for Higher Education of the Republic of Türkiye, for the 2022-2023 academic year, 37 students from Kyrgyzstan are studying at this university.

The parties expressed a common opinion on the need to increase joint efforts to increase the number of students from Kyrgyzstan studying at Ankara Hacı  Bayram Veli University.

Then the parties touched upon issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of education and science. In particular, they examined the current situation and further prospects for cooperation between higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan and the Turkish university. In this context, the Turkish side expressed its readiness to establish cooperation and closer interaction with leading Kyrgyz state universities.

Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev informed the Turkish side about the events planned by the Embassy in 2024 to mark important dates of the Kyrgyz Republic. Based on this, the parties agreed to jointly organize cultural, scientific and educational events to promote Kyrgyzstan, which is an integral part of the Turkic world.
