At 20^th of December the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine, in conjunction with the Kiev organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, in the “Bukva” bookstore, presented the book of the Ch.Aytmatov «The Cassandra Brand» which was translated into Ukrainian language as a gift to the 90^th anniversary of the great writer Ch.Aytmatov.

The presentation was attended by Embassy staff, the Head of the Kiev organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine V. Danilenko, the author of the translation of Ch.Aytmatov’s collection of favorites, M.Vaskiv, writers and people who are fond of works of Ch.Aytmatov.

The head of the Kiev organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine told the participants of the presentation about the content and meaning of the work of Ch. Aytmatov's “Cassandra Brand”. He noted that this novel is about a yearning human heart, relentlessly dreaming of love and understanding, of conscience and loyalty, of non-indifference and selflessness.

Counselor of the Embassy M.Apyshov noted that the novel “The Cassandra Brand” is a soulful confession of a writer who, with his artistic merit and deep meaning, cannot leave any heart indifferent. It sounds the idea of mandatory responsibility for their lives, for the act.

At the end of the presentation, the Embassy distributed to all the participants of the event a novel by Ch. Aytmatov “The Cassandra Brand” in the Ukrainian language.
