On 20^th of February, 2019, took place a meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine Zh.Sharipov with the President of the Ukrainian Association of Light Industry Enterprises T.Izovit.

The sides discussed prospects for the development of Kyrgyz-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of light industry, establishing cooperation and exchange of experience between the Association of Light Industry Enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ukrainian Association of Light Industry Enterprises, as well as the mutual promotion of textile and clothing products.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on organizing a videoconference between the Association of Enterprises of Light Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ukrainian Association of Enterprises of Light Industry with the participation of large enterprises of the textile and clothing industry and higher educational institutions involved in the training of light industry specialists.
