In welcoming speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ukraine Zh. Sharipov spoke about the life and work of Ch.Aitmatov, the features of his works, and also provided information on the work done by the Embassy on the occasion of the celebration of the 90th anniversary of Ch.Aitmatov in 2018.

The author of the book “Ch. Aitmatov. The last writer of the empire” Osmonakun Ibraimov told those present about the life and work of C.Aitmatov, his thoughts and views on the future. About how human fate and the literary work of Ch.Aitmatov was closely connected with the sunset and the collapse of a huge empire - the Soviet Union. He noted that Ch.Aitmatov left his readers a unique legacy, his spiritual universalism will remain in demand.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Zh. Sharipov thanked the organizers of the forum, represented by the director of the Summit Book Publishing House I.Stepurin, acting the mayor of Irpin A. Popsuy for the provided platform for the forum, the author-translation N.Vaskiv and presented to the central library of the city of Irpen in the person of director E. Tsiganenko the book of Ch. Aitmatov in Ukrainian.

Kochur, in whose honor the festival is named, Dmitry Chistyak - secretary of the European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Literature, poet, translator, foreign guests: Laurent Nicole Katrice - translator from France, Laura Garavaglia - translator from Italy, M. Dzhurikovich - translator from Serbia, as well as lovers of creativity of C. Aitmatov.
