Press release on the upcoming elections of deputies to the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic abroad

Dear citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, in the framework of the events held by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine to organize the upcoming elections of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic scheduled for October 4, 2020, we inform you of the following:

1. In accordance with the electoral law of the Kyrgyz Republic, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic residing outside the Kyrgyz Republic, in order to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections of the Kyrgyz Republic, it is necessary to register with the consulate and undergo biometric registration.

Kyrgyz citizens who have not previously passed biometric registration can submit biometric data to diplomatic missions and consular posts of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic can register for consular posts both in person and remotely.

For registration at the consular register for personal use, it is necessary to provide a registration card with a photograph and a national passport of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic.

To register for consular registration remotely, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic have the right to send the aforementioned list of documents in scanned form (color photo is submitted in electronic form) to the official email address of the foreign institution of the Kyrgyz Republic.

For reference: Kyrgyz citizens fill out the aforementioned registration card by downloading its electronic version from the official website of the overseas institution.

2. Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who entered the consular registration and passed biometric registration before July 8, 2020 automatically fall into the preliminary list of voters.

3. Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic from July 15, 2020 (80 calendar days before the voting day) will be able to familiarize themselves with the updated preliminary voter list on the website www.tizme.gov.kg, as well as from July 25, 2020 in diplomatic missions and consular posts KP.

4. Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic from the moment they familiarize themselves with the preliminary list of voters have the right to declare their intention to vote at the election address of their place of residence by submitting an application in Form No. 2 to the precinct election commission.

In this case, the voter undergoes biometric identification.

Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic have the right to submit the above applications of the corresponding form by September 19, 2020 (no later than 15 calendar days before the voting day).
