On May 30, 2022, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Bulgaria with a residence in the city of Kyiv at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bulgaria held presentations on investment and tourism opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic.

President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bulgaria Ts.Simeonov expressed his interest in intensifying bilateral relations in the economic sphere.

The Embassy provided detailed information on the features of free economic zones and individual subsidized regions that have preferences for foreign investors for exemption from tax and customs requirements, as well as on the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Kyrgyzstan.

It was noted that the Kyrgyz Republic has the status of the Generalized Scheme of Preferences, which allows Kyrgyzstan to import more than 6,200 commodity items duty-free into the territory of the European Union and is also a member of the Eurasian Economic Union with the right to enter the market of 5 countries without customs duties.

From the Bulgarian side, the meeting was attended by representatives of the business sector and members of 28 regional chambers of commerce and industry, both offline and via videoconference.

The Embassy called on Bulgarian companies to actively invest in the national economy of our country and open manufacturing enterprises together with Kyrgyz partners to obtain duty-free access to the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union.
