On September 24, 2021, the results were summed up and the awards ceremony for the winners of the All-Ukrainian competition of drawings among children on the theme "Kyrgyzstan is infinitely unique", held at the initiative of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine in conjunction with the National Library of Ukraine for children on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic.
More than 2000 schoolchildren from all over Ukraine took part in the competition, 32 works were selected and the winners of prizes in two age categories were determined. The winners were awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts.
In her opening speech, the General Director of the library Alla Gordienko congratulated on the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic, noted the active cooperation between the Library and the Embassy in promoting the Kyrgyz Republic and its culture among the younger generation of Ukraine.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ukraine Zhusupbek Sharipov in his welcoming speech also congratulated those who present on the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence.
Ambassador Zh. Sharipov spoke about the history of the formation of the Kyrgyz statehood, thanked the management of the library for the successful holding of the competition and fruitful cooperation in the dissemination of Kyrgyz culture among the younger generation of Ukraine, assured of the readiness of the Embassy to hold joint events aimed at the development of cultural cooperation between the countries and handed letters of thanks and gifts to the management, the library staff, and also thanked the children for their active participation, congratulated the winners and wished them good health, academic success, the development of creative talent and presented diplomas and gifts.
Holders of vouchers to Kyrgyzstan following the results of the drawing competition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Ch.Aitmatov, held in 2018, Anna Baramidze and Darina Zadorozhnaya, congratulated the country on the 30th anniversary and talked about the impressions they received during their trip to Kyrgyzstan.
During the event, the library staff staged a Kyrgyz folk tale "Consent", showed and talked about the peculiarities of the national Kyrgyz clothing, and also demonstrated a virtual exhibition "Literary Mosaic of Kyrgyzstan" and an online marathon with the participation of more than 50 schoolchildren throughout Ukraine on reading Kyrgyz fairy tales.
The event was attended by students of the boarding school "Cadet Corps", schoolchildren and young readers of the library.
The event was carried out in compliance with quarantine measures and restrictions on the number of people.
