On October 15, 2021, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Romania Zhusupbek Sharipov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Ukraine Christian-Leon Turсanu, at the request of the Kyrgyz side.

The parties, in a warm and confidential atmosphere, discussed a wide range of mutually beneficial issues.

In order to deepen bilateral relations, the parties agreed to interact in organizing bilateral visits at all levels, signing a Joint Action Plan between the Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Romania, filling the bilateral legal framework, deepening cooperation of Kyrgyzstan with the EU and Romania, supporting initiatives within the framework of international organizations and the UN effective use of the institutions of Honorary Consuls and inter-parliamentary friendship groups in order to promote mutually beneficial interests and values of public diplomacy.

The Romanian Ambassador stressed that Bucharest intends to restore trade and economic ties with the countries of Central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan.

The parties agreed to establish direct bilateral contacts and strengthen joint interaction.
