The cultural cooperation is very active between two countries. The Days of Kyrgyzstan in Austria was held on 4-9 April 2005. The photo exhibition “Kyrgyzstan – a chance for young democracy” devoted to the April events of 2010 took place in Vienna on 24 March 2015. The event devoted to the 90^th anniversary of Chyngyz Aitmatov took place on 19 November 2018 in Vienna.

In 2002 the German Gmeir educational complex was opened in Bishkek. The school offers primary and secondary education in German and English languages.
