On the 28th January 2020 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Azizbek Madmarov held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria Peter Launsky-Tieffenthal. Azizbek Madmarov taking participation in the 7th meeting of the Joint Kyrgyz-Austrian Bilateral Commission on Foreign Economic Relations.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of holding the Kyrgyz-Austrian Joint Commission. The parties expressed hope for further successful bilateral cooperation by organizing mutual visits at the high and highest levels, to further intensify the whole range of relations between the countries, including in the direction of enhancing trade and economic relations and conducting political consultations between the countries at the level of deputy foreign ministers of the two countries.

In addition, an exchange of views took place on actual issues of regional and international politics.
