As part of the work carried out by the Embassy to increase trade between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, as well as the study of regulatory regulations for the export and import of food products to/from the Republic of Azerbaijan, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan K.Osmonaliev and the Chairman of the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan G.Tahmazli on April 28 2022 on the initiative of the Embassy.

The Ambassador focused on the export opportunities of Kyrgyzstan, taking into account the pricing policy of domestic producers, environmental friendliness and the import basket of Azerbaijan. In particular, dairy products, meat and meat products, fish, beans, honey, etc. were designated.

For his part, G. Tahmazli noted that the Food Safety Agency is one of the key bodies on the issue of entering the Azerbaijani food market, because all imported and exported food products are carefully controlled on the basis of modern research and laboratory centers of his department.

Following the meeting, the parties emphasized mutual interest and readiness to establish close contact with competent counterparts and intensify cooperation to mutually increase the trade turnover of the parties.
