On November 24, 2022, in the town of Weidenbach, Federal State of Bavaria, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany Mr. O.Tekebaev met with the Vice-President of the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, Professor Ralf Schlauderer. This German educational institution specializes in the training of personnel in the field of agriculture in the dual education system and is one of the leading educational institutions in Germany in the field of agriculture.

Ambassador Mr. O. Tekebaev thanked Professor R. Schlauderer for the successful cooperation between the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences and the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after. K.Scriabin within the framework of the master's program "Agrarian Management". He especially emphasized that the experience and knowledge gained by Kyrgyz students in Germany will undoubtedly contribute to the development of agriculture in Kyrgyzstan and the introduction of advanced German technologies in the agricultural sector of the country.

During the meeting, Professor R. Schlauderer presented the activities of the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf, where not only German students study, but also representatives of many countries of the world, including Kyrgyzstan. He especially noted that in the course of studying in the framework of the master's program at this German university, special attention is paid to practical work. At the beginning of the master's studies at this university, students are given the opportunity to practice for one semester in one of the local farms with which the university closely cooperates.

In one of these farms - in a private poultry farm, where undergraduates, including those from Kyrgyzstan, have internships, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany Mr. O. Tekebaev visited and got acquainted with the work of this farm.

During the meeting with Professor R. Schlauderer, issues of cooperation in the future were also discussed, including the creation on the basis of the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after. K.Skryabin of the livestock school, where students could have an internship in the dual education system. Ambassador Mr. O. Tekebaev noted that the creation of a similar livestock school would be another important joint educational institution in the framework of the Kyrgyz-German cooperation.

Ambassador Mr. O.Tekebaev held a meeting with Kyrgyz undergraduates who are currently studying in the framework of the master's program "Agricultural Management" at the Weihenstephan Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences. Master students spoke about the progress of their studies and shared their opinion on further opportunities for expanding cooperation with this German university.

In the evening of the same day, Ambassador Mr. O.Tekebaev took part in a cultural event at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, in which students from many countries, including from Kyrgyzstan, presented the culture of their peoples, as well as the tourist attractiveness of their countries. During the evening, Ambassador Mr.O.Tekebaev and Mayor of the Bavarian town of Weidenbach Willy Albrecht delivered a welcoming speech.

For reference: For 20 years, the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan Triesdorf has been successfully cooperating with the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University K. Skryabin (KNAU) on the issues of personnel training in the field of agriculture.

In 2007, the international master's course "Agrarian Management" was opened at KNAU, which in 2019 received international accreditation from the IBA (ACQUIN). During the years of cooperation at the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan Triesdorf, 90 KNAU students completed pre-master's practice, of which 50 undergraduates studied and received a master's degree in Agricultural Management from the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf.
