On January 23, 2024, in the city of Gotha, Federal State of Thuringia, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany Omurbek Tekebaev and the Vice-President of the Erfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry Olaf Seibicke, during which issues of development of the hotel business were discussed, including issues of training qualified personnel in this area, between Kyrgyzstan and Thuringia.

Ambassador O.Tekebaev also held a meeting with the Head of the FAV Service gGmbH company, Heiko Schüler, and the head of the dual education project, Denis Nevinsky. During the meeting, the Parties discussed issues of cooperation in training qualified personnel from Kyrgyzstan through the dual education system in Germany.

Ambassador O.Tekebaev noted the importance for Kyrgyzstan of studying the experience in Germany in the dual education system in order to train professional personnel necessary for the economy of Kyrgyzstan and Germany.

The head of the German company «FAV Service gGmbH», H. Schüler, said that the company is engaged in educational activities in the field of three-year dual vocational education in Germany. The project is being implemented with the joint support of the European Union.

Following the meeting, the Parties reached an agreement on the organization by FAV Service gGmbH, together with the Embassy, of a visit of representatives of a number of companies from Thuringia to Kyrgyzstan in the spring of 2024 in order to establish cooperation in Kyrgyzstan in the field of training qualified personnel in Germany.
