On May 1, 2019, the First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuran Niyazaliev met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of further development of bilateral relations, including the expansion of political, economic, trade and investment cooperation, as well as the organization of high-level visits.

The parties agreed to continue joint work on enhancing mutual cooperation and expressed hope that the existing bilateral events to be conducted will allow bringing the Kyrgyz-Qatari relations to a higher new level. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani thanked N. Niyazaliev for his contribution to strengthening the Kyrgyz-Qatari cooperation and wished him success in his new position of the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
