On December 14, 2021, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the State of  Kuwait, Azamat Karagulov, met with the Director of the Department for International Organizations with the rank Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Ambassador Abdelaziz Al-Jarralla, in order to discuss the prospects for bilateral cooperation within the UN and its institutions, as well as other international and regional organizations.

Ambassador A. Karagulov acquainted the Kuwaiti side with the initiatives of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic S. Japarov in the field of combating climate change, reporting on the adoption by UNESCO of the resolution "Expanding monitoring and research of mountain glaciers " in November this year. and the tasks of promoting the draft resolution on declaring 2022 the "International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development" within the framework of the UN.

The head of the department of international organizations A. Al-Jarallah noted the high attention of the Kuwaiti side to solving problems related to climate change, as well as the principled position of Kuwait and support for international and national initiatives of friendly states in this area.

During the conversation, the parties also expressed satisfaction with the results of the meeting of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic with the Prime Minister of Kuwait within the framework of the 26th session of the Conference of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in November this year. in Glasgow, stressing the readiness for further close collaboration at various levels.
